In Dubai, summers are hot and dry with temperatures climbing to 45°C (113°F) and higher.
With over 300 days of sun per year, beating the heat is part of the everyday lives of Dubai residents. It’s always a good idea to wear light cotton clothing when you venture out beyond the comfort of air-conditioned malls and hotels. Just make sure your outfit respects the local culture.
Though pretty obvious advice, sipping water at regular intervals will help keep heatstroke and dehydration at bay.
Sunscreen is also key. A high level of sun protection factor (SPF) is best, and make sure you reapply it regularly.
Insider Tip: If you are arranging any activities, it’s wise to organize them early in the day before Dubai’s hot sun is at its strongest between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
