If you want to go across Miami on an elevated transit system, then give the Metrorail a try. Both the Metrorail (aka “The Metro”) and the Metromover connect Miami’s central Downtown hub to outer parts of the city. The Metrorail’s Orange line connects the Dadeland area north through to Miami International Airport, while the Green line starts north at Palmetto and winds its way down to Dadeland. The Metromover, electrically powered and free to ride, operates a smaller inner loop around center of Downtown; an outer loop that ventures north to the Performing Arts Center, and the Brickell loop south to the Financial District.
