The Embarcadero has a continuous path from the Ferry Building to the Golden Gate Bridge. It’s six miles one way, so be sure to stick a credit card in your pocket for the ride back.
Along this waterfront route, you’ll pass bayside sculptures, San Francisco’s historic piers and run through Fort Mason, with Alcatraz and The Golden Gate Bridge in view.
Whether you walk or run, you won’t have to stop at a single intersection. If you get thirsty toward the end, the Warming Hut has drinks and light snacks.
